What does transition look like at Crowan?Â
At Crowan we work hard to make the transition from nursery to school as smooth as possible for both you and your child. On school allocation you will recieve a welcome letter from us, giving you key dates and information that you need to know, with a link to our enrollment form.Â
Once these forms are completed we contact your child's nursery, get more information from them and begin to plan our nurseries visits. When visiting your child in their current setting we will speak with their key work and spend time playing with them in an environment that they are happy and comfortable in. This gives us an opportunity to start to get to know your child before they join us in September.Â
We also hold three transition sessions that we encourage your child to attend. These sessions allow the children to get to know the classroom environment and put names to faces. Parents are more than welcome to stay for the first session, but we do encourage you to leave your child for the second and third sessions.Â
We also hold a meeting just for parents. Here you will be given your personalised welcome packs, meet the staff and other parents and try some of the options available from our catering team. Welcome packs include: welcome to Crowan booklet, personalised name cards, starting reception guide, potty training guide and ready for school documents.Â
