Tapestry

Across Nursery and Reception, we use a program called 'Tapestry' to make observations of your child. We document your child's achievements and progress, making observations when your child is playing, learning and exploring the world around them. We do this by taking photos or videos and adding written observations. We then carry out assessments, linking the observations to the Early Years Foundation Stage. 

You will be given logging in information when your child starts nursery. Parents can access their child's online journal by clicking the link below or by downloading the app onto their smart phone or tablet.
 
We encourage parents to add observations of what their child has been doing at home. This can be done easily using the app.

Key Person

The key person approach is used to help children settle into the nursery environment, respond to children’s individual needs and to build strong communication between parents and the nursery; usually sharing information on a daily basis.

The staff working in our nursery know all children well and you will be informed which member of staff your child is specifically assigned to. 

xxxxx are in overall charge of all the children within the nursery and they ensure all children are happy and have a wealth of opportunities to play and explore. Parents are encouraged to share information and WOW! moments from home, either to staff at the beginning of their child’s session or alternatively you can arrange a telephone appointment with us if needed.
